Jonathan Cook, a British writer/journalist living in Nazareth, Israel has some very incisive writings. He has written for The Guardian, ZNet, Electronic Intifada, CounterPunch, Al Jazeera and Information Clearing House.
His insight into the complexities of life for the Palestinian community inside Israel, on the one hand, and the role of religion(s) on the other, is sharp, often witty, and points to issues that are often overlooked by more mainstream media. On his website, he states that being a freelancer allows him to provide fresh insights into the conflict because he is not constrained by the agenda of any one outlet or the 'treadmill' of mainstream news. His book 'Blood and Religion' is particularly commended....Articles can be read at http://www.jkcook.net/Articlesindex.htm.
