As Muslims around the world celebrate Ramadan, New York’s PBS is inviting people from all walks of life to contribute to “Sacred” - a groundbreaking new crowdsourced documentary celebrating a year of spiritual and religious life on Earth.
Our friends over at WNET New York Public Media have explained that everyone is welcome to send video footage of how Ramadan is lived across the world. Muslim voices are needed to enrich footage that answers question about things people do in Ramadan: how you celebrate the month, what special food you eat, what is unique about Ramadan in your country, the special night of Leilet el Qadr, and how you celebrate Eid Al Fitr.
Sacred will premiere in 2015 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and will be offered to public television audiences across the United States. If your footage is selected to be shown in the final documentary you will receive official on screen recognition.
As well as Ramadan, the documentary Sacred will celebrate all spiritual traditions and expressions of spirituality for different religions and faiths across the world.
